In October of 2012, MF Lightwave, Inc. (founded 1999) acquired the assets of Custom Cable (founded 1980). The two Tampa, FL based companies merged operations to do business under the name Custom Cable. Prior to the acquisition, the two companies supported and served as manufacturer of record for each other for many years. Custom Cable has experienced rapid growth and in July of 2016, Amphenol acquired the company under the Amphenol AGIS Group. As a supply chain partner, Amphenol Custom Cable has innovative tools that bring procurement, standards, engineering, and deployment teams together while reducing response time, lead times, and increasing customer satisfaction.
